Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is a special item that will make certain Pokemon change. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It's sometimes given as a prize in Pokemon GO events.
The Upgrade can also be placed in armor, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools to boost their level of use. The upgrade costs Flightstones and crests, based on the type of item.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be inserted into trinkets, weapons, armors and gathering tools to add attributes bonuses or other effects while the equipment being used. The equipment that is upgraded must have an available upgrade slot that can accept the component, and most upgrade components require the item being upgraded to be above the specified level. Certain upgrade items also come with special effects when they are added to an item of equipment. Upgrade components can be obtained through crafting, bought by karma merchants or exchanged with other players through the Trading Post. item upgrade can also be rescued from equipment and received as rewards.
There are different upgrade components, each with distinct bonuses. Universal upgrades, which include gems and inscriptions can be used in any type of equipment; they provide lower bonuses than other kinds of upgrade components. Infusions are used in non-amulet ascended equipment and legendary equipment, while enhancements are used to upgrade certain items that have been ascended. Injecting an upgrade component will cause the destruction of the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs which can only be inserted in gathering tools, as well as enchantments. Both can be removed and then reinserted.
Insignias and enchantments will display their name in the hover display of the item while prefix and suffix upgrades will add their names to the end of the equipment name (e.g. for example, a Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item will show the number of upgrade components that have been added to it.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, like ligatures and ornaments, fractions and swashes, registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel lets you insert and examine these special characters, along with regular symbols like em and en dashes as in registered trademark symbols.
Each Glyph gives a character boost in primary stats. It also includes up to four secondary stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a %-increase that is multiplied when other bonuses are applied, with the exception of Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.
The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and clicking the "enchant" button. This will display a window with the Glyphs that are available to you. Make sure you select the right type of Glyph can be applied to the item you are looking for and each weapon, jewelry or armor piece can have an array of different Glyphs.
Glyphs can be upgraded by completing Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more difficult the dungeon is, the greater the amount of Glyph experience you'll earn. Once a Glyph is at level 15, it can be upgraded on the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board increases by one node each 15 levels that a Glyph is upgraded.
Once a Glyph has reached the desired level, it is possible to activate it. Select it, then click the "enchant button". The resulting glyph will provide its stated bonus and will also boost all the other nodes in its range on the Paragon Board. It's crucial to place glyphs in the best locations to benefit your game, which is why it's a good idea to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rare glyphs could also provide double bonus when certain conditions are fulfilled.
If you're having trouble finding a particular glyph click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a variety of different views. Each view shows the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow the list of glyphs further by choosing an option under "Entire Font": for example, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs, while Math Symbols reduces the choices to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling is a method in which you open a new account to give yourself more chances to access an item or character you are interested in. This can help you level up faster or to obtain better loot, such as the best weapon for your current character. A lot of players will reroll until the character they wish to play is available, regardless of its power. This could be due to the fact that they like the character's design or character.
When you reroll, it is important to make sure that the changes you are making are clear. This means you should verify locally that the patch passes the pre-commit checks and conduct a core development check. You should upload the patch with a plain difference to a problem (see What is an interdiff?) ).

Sets

Upgrades make a set item more effective than it was prior to. For weapons and armor this means it will gain an increased base defense value as well as a lower strength requirement and a lower requirement for level.
Upgrades can bring well-known items from single sets up to parity with those in higher-end sets. For example upgrading Guillaume's Face Helm to Elite Spired Helm can increase the defense from 217 to 321 while also reducing the strength requirement and level requirement to a more manageable range.
However, it's important to note that not all set items are good candidates for upgrading. Some sets, like the FB Sorc Whistan's Shield spec or Naj's Puzzler staff are already Elite and Exceptional in their own right and don't require upgrading. On the other hand, certain items that are BiS and are used frequently (like Goldwrap) may benefit from being upgraded to improve their stats even more. It might be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
